Elves Extraordinaire

Henry Wikkerink
Cowichan Valley Basket Society
Henry is the Manager of the Cowichan Valley Basket Society. The dining room serves a hot lunch six days a week, and this is often the only meal of the day guests can count on as they navigate hardship.
The Cowichan Valley Basket Society feeds at least 1,000 people every month, and that number is increasing daily.

Lorrain Keen
Brentwood School
Lorraine is another ‘original’ Elf. Lorraine has always looked after our ‘books’ but assisted in every area in 2021. There was nothing she didn’t accomplish as we had to change what we did in 2020.

Evelyn Gates
Cowichan Exhibition
And another ‘original’ Elf! This is the wonderful Evelyn Gates. Evelyn works as the Graphic Design & Marketing Coordinator at the Cowichan Exhibition.
On a volunteer basis, Ev designed the TTT logo and our first creative artwork. We are HUGELY thankful to still have Evelyn who does a completely awesome job of our Graphic Design

Leigh Davies
Mid Island Ink Depot
Leigh is an ‘original’ Elf and she and her husband Chris operate the very successful Mid Island Ink Depot They really are the only place to go for printers, ink, and more. Leigh has done every volunteer job we have at TTT including wrapping donation boxes, being a Drop Off Elf, helping to sort donations accepting donations on Drop Off Day and more!.

Stephanie Farrow
Plentifill Refillery & Sustainable Living Store
Elf Stephanie is a superstar. (Well, we all are). The store she operates with her sister-in-law is plentiFILL Refillery & Sustainable Living in downtown Duncan on Kenneth Street. Stephanie’s strong belief in recyclables and organic living has really caught on in the Cowichan Valley, and she has a customer base who enjoys contributing to a cleaner, better Valley as well as enjoying some of the specialty items available every season.

Teresa Burke
Island Health
Teresa joined the TTT team in 2024 and is looking forward to supporting and working with Drop-off Centres and volunteering in any other ways that are needed. Teresa works full-time for Island Health in the area of Health Emergency Management, loves spending time with her granddaughter, is an enthusiastic explorer of nature, and loves heading to the mainland for a good dose of urban adventure. She is excited to get to know the other Elves and contribute to making this the best TTT year yet.

Cathy Robertson
Community Futures Cowichan
Cathy’s 25-year career spans many aspects of business. Since 2008, she has been the General Manager of Community Futures Cowichan. Cathy volunteers with community organizations such as the Duncan-Cowichan Chamber of Commerce and participates in many local fundraisers.

Debbie Battler
DE SEO Consulting
Debbie Battler is a SEO speicialist, websites for small businesses and anything else to do with the Internet! She keeps our website – www.toystoiletriestoques.ca up to date, comes up with great ideas for online promotion, and created those great movies you see on our website from previous years.

Brenda Burch, Retired Chief Elf

Volunteer of the Year
Brenda was an ‘original’ Elf and she was—one of the Cowichan Valley’s first social media consultants.
Brenda has contributed chiefly to the Toys, Toiletries & Toques team by doing social media and marketing work.

Tina Short Honorary Elf
Tina is one of our sorting elves. She is retired from her business, A Memorable Gift. She keeps herself busy by volunteering at many non-profits in the Cowichan Valley.

Don McCormick – Honorary Elf
Cowichan is Awesome
Don is considered one of the best Reel makers that appear on Facebook and Instagram in the Cowichan Valley, and we are very grateful he volunteers with Toys Toiletries & Toques. The reels he creates for the Drop Off Centres and for our Supporters are really outstanding. Don does all the fantastic Reels for us.
